Background

Originally from a small, rural town in central Iowa, I’ve called Iowa City home for the past eight years. While in high school I was heavily involved in track & field, cross country, and long distance running. Since coming to the University of Iowa, my interests turned to strength training. As a charter member of the University of Iowa Powerlifting Club, I’ve competed quite a bit in the 148 lbs and 165 lbs weight class with personal bests of a 485 lbs squat, 275 lbs bench press, and a 600 lbs deadlift. I’ve found my time spent in the gym to be infectious and I am always optimistic my clients learn to love their time training the same way I do.
